Min: No structural imbalances, overheating in Russian economy
HARBIN, China, Jun 14 (PRIME) -- There are no structural imbalances and overheating in the Russian economy, which is entering a long wave of growth, Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin told Zhang Ping, deputy chairman of the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress, on Wednesday.
The year began with a positive trend in trade between the two countries, which, among other things, will contribute to the new phase of Russia’s economic growth, he said.
“There were two difficult years connected with adaptation to lower oil prices. Now our economy is at a unique point: if we forecast its structure, the state of the market, we can note that no structural imbalances, no overheating in some segments of the Russian economy are currently observed,” Oreshkin said.
“The fundament of changes of last two years, which was created, is very strong. And according to our estimates, it will allow us to have a long wave of economic growth over the coming years.”
He said he believed development of trade and economic relations with China will play a very important role.
